Competent guitar skills and astronomical net worths are among the things Post Malone and Kevin O'Leary have in common, but it appears the Canadian businessman believes connections could run deeper per an absolutely twisted Instagram post.

Yesterday (December 21), O'Leary — published author, current Shark, ex-Dragon and Canadian federal leadership dropout — shared a split image of himself and the artist born Austin Post on the platform, sharing that his younger self has totally been likened to the "White Iverson" hitmaker.

"Lots of fans have been saying I looked like @postmalone without the face tats in my youth!," O'Leary wrote in the caption. "That's me on the right - what do you think, long lost cousins? Maybe we should have a jam session in 2021!"

To say nothing of how wild it would be to watch Post Malone trade in music stardom to become a snarky reality TV suit, O'Leary has seldom wasted an opportunity to remind online followers that he once maintained some immaculate flow up top.

In this particular headshot, however, it's less Post Malone and more Mose from The Office, but you can find some shots from the "glory days" below whenever you stop gawking at the split image.

Should we actually get around to controlling COVID-19, Post Malone will have an opportunity to bring O'Leary onstage in his native Montreal when he headlines Osheaga 2021. "La belle province" indeed.
