Eric Andre Says He Was Racially Profiled in the Atlanta Airport
He's reaching out to lawyers and asking Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms for help
In a series of tweets posted Wednesday, Andre explained that he was singled out for a random drug search while he was trying to board his flight at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Andre added that he was the only person of colour in line for the flight, explaining that he did not consent to the drug search. He went on to say that he was disappointed in the way he was treated in Atlanta considering he filmed most of his recent hit Bad Trip there.
Andre ended up boarding the flight and explained that he was fine but wanted to file a report. He asked out for help from the mayor along with further legal advice.

@Atlanta_Police "I was just racially profiled by two plain clothes Atlanta PD police in @Delta terminal T3 at the Atlanta airport. They stopped me on the way down the bridge to the plane for a "random" search and asked they could search me for drugs. I told them no. Be careful.— Eric Andre (@ericandre) April 21, 2021
@KeishaBottoms please help me. Two of your officers stopped me on the jet bridge at terminal three in the Atlanta airport for a "random" drug search. Please someone get me the name of a good Atlanta lawyer. @delta @Atlanta_Police #jimcrow #racialprofiling. .— Eric Andre (@ericandre) April 21, 2021
