But will he be the final boss?
The New Boss of Nintendo Is Literally Named Bowser
While we'd never want to accuse Nintendo of America of nepotism, the massive videogame corporation has just hired a new head with a strangely familiar last name. Specifically, the new boss of the company is named Doug Bowser.

Whether or not he has descended from the same lineage as the corrupt lizard king that so often besieges the mushroom kingdom is yet to be confirmed, but Bowser announced he was taking over for Reggie Fils-Aime.

"It has been my great fortune to work with and be mentored by Reggie for four years at Nintendo of America," Bowser said in a press release, his statements possibly punctuated by fiery roars. "And rest assured, we will continue to build on his work to evolve and expand our brand, furthering Nintendo's global mission of creating smiles. There are millions more of those to come."

As of press time, there's no word on whether or not Bowser will be Nintendo's final boss.
